we were a party of 6 from canada excited to try the elusive didi restaurant. We entered to a moody lit room and escorted to our cozy booth.
we chose a plethora of there items; tuna tartare, chicken wings, beef carpaccio, coconut crepe tacos, honey glazed prawns, tomato peach salad, fried rice, hot sesame noodles, lemongrass pork belly, broccoli with tofu.
our appetizers arrived swiftly after the order was made. The tuna tartare was reminescent of any poke you could order from the food court. Chicken wings were overly seasoned. What the prawns lacked in freshness, they compensated for with their crispness. I suppose the coconut crepe tacos were a play on Banh Xeo. I've also had better fried rice from panda express. The carpaccio was plain and lacked complexity. Just a few slices of raw beef with lemon juice and salt? The broccoli was so salty... we had to send them back.
Get the pork belly. That one was good.
It was disheartening to have this experience because we were so excited to try this place out. We were one of the first tables in the restaurant so it definitely wasnt because the cooks were slammed to produce such lackluster dishes.
Just drive down to the OC for good vietnamese food. Don't believe the hype.

Celebrated the Mother’s Day here with my family for a party of 6 and I am very happy of the choice of restaurant. The ambiance was beautiful. Perfect for the occasion for sure!
The food was amazing! All of what we ordered was delicious! Photos attached. From appetizers all the way to the desserts, we all loved them all! It was definitely Vietnamese cuisine with a nice modern twist on flavors! We had everything shared by family - family style, per our server’s suggestion and it was just perfect!
They had a nice sized bar and ample of choices of drinks and cocktails.
Service was good, in spite of the day being very busy because of the occasion. She was awesome when it came to knowledge of menu and drinks, and her suggestions were on par!
Ambiance was great, with their beautiful wall papers all around!
Parking was a bit difficult. There was a valet parking area but something was happening next to the restaurant ( apparently shooting a movie or video) that made the parking area super crowded and hard to get to. I’m sure it wasn’t the case on any other day.
Overall, this restaurant was great and I would go back to it again for sure!

Came here on a Thursday and it was relatively busy so we were happy to grab a reservation. Absolutely loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. The menu and branding are on point. I loved the Didi Dynamite in the cocktail menu.

As for the food, it was definitely more on the pricier side for Vietnamese food. We enjoyed the shrimp toast, green beans and the garlic noodles.

The best thing going on at this place definitely has to be the atmosphere! DiDi is just a really vibey place with dim lights and great decor. The food was good, too of course. All family style so definitely great for a group of four or more. I loved the fried shrimp, which was nicely fried, savory and sweet. For entrees, the garlic crab noodles and fried rice were really good too. The fish sauce chicken wings could’ve been better, though, as they were a bit salty. Oh, and definitely don’t skip on the veggies! They were nicely seasoned and fresh— an integral part of a meal that would’ve otherwise been only meat and carbs! Good place for a special event.

Trendy Vietnamese fusion restaurant with a large social media following. I came with friends on a Saturday night and we ended up making a reservation with too few seats. The staff were very accommodating and we were still seated right away. The food was really flavorful and interesting… I absolutely loved the marinades used on the meats and the intense flavors in the sauces. For four people, we ordered about eight items and left satisfied while also giving ourselves the chance to try a lot of different dishes.

We made reservations and everything went smoothly. Expect to valet because parking could be a challenge if you’re not familiar with this area. Valet was 15 dollars but convenient for us. We were greatest by a very friendly hostess and server. I wish I remembered their names because they were very hospitable.

I had a Vietnamese Beer, she had a cocktail. We ordered the Tiger Prawns and Shrimp Spring Rolls for Appetizers. And for the main course we did Kevin’s Pho. We finished with the Vietnamese Coffee Crème Brûlée.

The Tiger Prawns were crispy and savory with a wonderful caramelized sweetness. The spring rolls were rolled tightly and aromatic, with a great flavor. Kevin’s Pho was delicious, with a wonderful broth, hearty chunks of smoky beef brisket, and served with bone marrow.

I enjoyed the food overall! The hamachi crudo was my favorite, very fresh. The sauces with the spring rolls were great, we also tried the lobster curry and hot sesame noodles. Both had interesting flavors without being overly salty, the lobster chunks were nice and the sauce carried heat without being overly spicy, thensesame noodles were so smooth almost buttery, the meat was super tender too. The space/atmosphere is super aesthetic and very pleasing overall. The attention to detail even went down to the takeout containers and packaging, but this is why I am rating it lower than normal. The beautiful packaging almost caused a fire in my microwave when I tried to reheat it. There is no warning label either, please be careful!
